Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast:  Milton Damerel, Near Holsworthy, Devon

 

This 400 year old cob barn has been beautifully converted for bed and breakfast.  It is set on a working farm in the heart of North Devon, with charming rooms that are spacious and have a country feel.  The location provides easy access to Holsworthy, Bideford and Bude whilst being secluded and deep in the rural countryside.  

 

Popular attractions such as Rosemoor RHS Gardens, The Tarka Trail and The Big Sheep are all close by with the Eden Project, Dartmoor and Exmoor also accessible for a day trip.

 

The Accommodation

 

Separate from the main house each bedroom has a private entrance and  bathroom. Luxurious superking beds can be changed to twins if required. There is a put-me-up bed for children and cot.  

 

The cob dining room has a very high ceiling and original beams above the doors, double doors open onto a patio and wooden shady pergola overlooking the garden.  The room extends to a large comfortble sitting area with woodburner, large sofa and TV/DVD.

 

 

Families are Welcome  

 

With only two bedrooms, four people plus children have Buttermoor Farm exclusively to enjoy with sole use of the sitting room and your own private entrance.  The rooms interlink making it perfect for children of all ages.

 

 

Access for All

 

All the rooms are on ground level with no steps and parking close by. Wide doorways and a walk in shower make this very easy for people with disabilities or in a wheelchair.  Find out more  

 

 

Wedding Accommodation

 

Buttermoor Farm is located 4 miles from Buckland House providing convenient accomodation for guests attending weddings  throughout the year.  We offer an early check-in time for guests attending weddings, so you can change and leave your suitecases.     About Janey

     

    I moved to Buttermoor Farm, ns Holsworthy North Devon 10 years ago.  The ramshackle farm buildings were in much need of love and attention. Once we had renovated the outbuildings we started on the house.  

     

    The Bed and Breakfast accommodation opened in August 2006 after converting the old duck house, which is attached to the side of the main house, to high quality private rooms.  We have maintained the integrity of the old cob building, keeping the high ceilings and wobblywalls, whilst making the rooms comfortable and appealing.  

     

    Our aim

     

    To provide a relaxing farmhouse atmosphere where guests can come and enjoy good food cooked to high a standard from fresh local produce. Whilst here, we hope you enjoy the seclusion of the farm and also explore the many beautiful attractions North Devon has to offer.
